Ergonomically designed and lightweight, the Lighthouse HANDHELD 3016 is the newest and most advanced Handheld particle counter on the market.

Offering 6 channels of simultaneous particle counting, the HANDHELD 3016 displays both cumulative and differential particle count data as well as Temperature/Relative Humidity data on its easy to read 3.8" (9.65cm) touch screen. A removable battery maximizes the HANDHELD's uptime. Data is easily downloaded using the Lighthouse Data Transfer Software.

The HANDHELD will monitor particulate levels accurately and reliably, even in those "hard-to-reach" areas where two handed operation is unsafe.

Designed and built by Lighthouse, a name you can trust.

Great software, not so durable 2006-10-31

This unit has some great software, I worked for lighthouse in my youth, and now am an IAQ consultant. My main field expirience was breaking the unit.

The unit was set on a tripod and fell about 18 inches. $1200 in repairs later it worked again. Evidently the pump, power board both broke. So software on the unit is fab... Durability not so much.

I always put durability as first priority when purchasing a product.

I am either going to purchase one of the newer high end TSI, or the up and coming
unit from Adam's Instruments.

Several years ago I began using the Arti particle meter, Then at the
unification conference in October of 2005 I ran across the Lighthouse
particle meter after using it at the booth for about 2-3 minuets I was
hooked, the ease of going from one screen to another was very easy but
being able to change rooms and type them in on the fly is great not to
mention the ability of taping the screen to allow a larger number visual,
this is really user friendly, not to mention it also goes to 25 microns, plus
there are so many extra functions that at this time I don't use but its nice
to know they are there if they are needed. I give this equipment a 5

We use our 3016 IAQ in the 'gieger-counter mode' while doing visual
inspections. It gives an audible tone that sounds in accordance with the
number of particles of a determined size has passed the beam. This alerts
us to do a deeper look into conditions at the area.

We switch it to collect data (3x 1 min) that we can then compare to the
NAFA Guidelines and place into our report.

This information is used to develop our sampling plan (if any). The tool is
also very useful in remedial and post-remedial checks. Worth the
investment.

We bought the 3016 IAQ after reading an article in the Sept. 05 Issue of
IAQA'a Indoor Environmental Connections trade journal written by Jim
Akey of Lighthouse. I highly recommend that you read that article before
purchasing this instrument. it is a cogent piece that makes sence of the
data the tool supplies. Get a past issue (if you haven't saved it) by calling
IAQA. They are always sooo helpful.
