I have had great experiences with this device. It is lightweight, almost
completely silent, and the battery lasts an incredibly long time (I
performed almost 60 samples during one inspection and the battery was
still plugging away). Its ability to time both individual and sequential
samples is a tremendous benefit. I can walk around and make other
observations while it takes a sample and not have to worry about looking
at my watch. Calibration in the field is a snap, although I have heard that
it may be difficult to hook it up to a more reliable calibration machine.

I really like using this portable pump. It has a thread on the bottom so I
can mount it on a tripod to do sampling at variable heights. Because it
has a rechargeable battery, you can do outdoor sampling away from
electical outlets.
Another nice feature is programming a shutoff time. You can purchase
multiple pumps and run them at the same time and they'll shut off without
you being there. Goodbye stop watch!
The one issue is that these pumps are hard to calibrate to a primary
standard. They come with a rotameter but I'm not sure how you would
connect it to a Dry-Cal for example. I did hear this issue was being
addressed but I'm not sure of the outcome.
Overall a great purchase for anyone doing air-o-cell sampling.
